"My girls loved your team camp this past summer. Ada (12) said she never worked so hard or improved so much in any other soccer camp. It was both very serious and very fun. Excellent team-building for a newly assembled squad. Plus, both Eleanor and Ada want me to add that they liked the "cultural program" (i.e., trips to the Farmers Market and Yoghurt Land!)."

"My son and I first met "Coach Phil" Scicluna and his staff of trainers a couple years ago while attending the "Academy" sessions that Rockridge Soccer Club (RSC) was offering its volunteer parent coaches to give them tools and training, simultaneously offering extra training for their players. Coach Phil had been hired to run this brilliant program and I'll be forever grateful to RSC for the introduction.

We've since invited Coach Phil to our practices and into our lives, as he's been an awesome influence on my son and his team (parents and coaches included) on and off the field. I could easily say many fine things about Scicluna Soccer Camps, proudly mentioning the remarkable skill my 8-yr old already has with the ball, scoring 9 goals in 3 games so far this season (his stats, not mine!). However, the thing that impresses me most about Coach Scicluna's organization is its deep integrity vis a vis their philosophy (excerpt from www.goalmexico.com):

Our coaching techniques and philosophy are centered around each player having a personal relationship with the ball and the sport of soccer. We focus on ball control, use of the left foot, finishing, and confidence with the ball and game. We inspire a passion for the game that is unique to each player and encourages a love for soccer.

My son and his teammates visibly embodied these concepts after only a few days of camp. After our game last weekend, a mom from the opposing team complimented him on his "killer right foot" -- the one that had scored 5 goals that day -- and to my surprise he became defensive. "I used my left foot one time to..." he mumbled under his breath. Excellent! As a coach, I love to see a players' own conviction take over.

We've been to many soccer camps throughout the years (our oldest is now 13), with trainers renowned and acclaimed, but not one has taught this concept of a personal relationship with the ball and inspired a passion for this beloved sport in this way. It's simply magic to behold the transformation it brings to anyone's game -- kid or adult. Whether you're new to the sport or looking to improve your game after many years -- you've come to the right place."

"Thanks for all that you have taught David, and all of the boys. They are really enjoying soccer and I credit you for this. It is amazing to see how far they have come from those early years when they were so energetic and unfocused."

"I brought home Taylor and Zach last night from practice it was the first practice they came back from where they were truly psyched about the team. They had a great time and think you are really cool (of course they had a different choice of words). Thanks..."
—Alyssa Perkins, Summer 2007

"Sophia made the team. Your work with her has really helped and [her coach] said he noticed quite a difference in her playing during tryouts. It was tough this year – the girls are getting older and the skill level is improving. We look forward to continuing to work with you... Thanks very much!"
—Frank Sabella, Winter 2007
